MEMORY OF THE PANDEMIC
Poster Series // Interactive
12/22
This series of posters is based on interactive posters built with Arduino and Touch Designer. The two posters reflect two common numbers during the pandemic: "keep 6 feet distance" and "100.1F". The former prompt can be seen everywhere, posted at various entrances of schools, requiring people to maintain social distance. The latter is constantly mentioned in emails and COVID treatment instructions, requiring people with a fever above 100.1℉ to take a COVID test.
The first poster "DISTANCE" is connected with a distance sensor. Only when the audience is 6 feet away, the poster can display all the content. As the audience gradually approaches the sensor, the elements in the poster will gradually disappear until only the words "keep 6 feet distance" remain. The disappearance of the elements

symbolizes that maintaining close proximity during the pandemic may cause harm to health, and the remaining words remind people to maintain social distancing. The second poster "FEVER" is connected to a temperature sensor. The elements in the poster will disappear as the temperature rises. When the temperature exceeds 42℃, all elements except for "100.1F" will disappear, leaving only a black background, symbolizing that a high body temperature means the disappearance of life. The remaining words remind people to pay attention to their temperature and health.
